Executive Board Meeting - AHBBS MBA2 & Langone VP Welcome Back

September 2018

AHBBS kicks-off its executive board meetings for academic year 2017-2018. During this meeting we will discuss budget, corporate sponsorships and AVP logistics among other administrative topics. Although board meetings are primarily for the AHBBS Executive Board, we welcome all NYU MBA students, including Langone and MBA1s who may wish to become active members or future club officers.


Hispanic/Latino/a Heritage Month

Various events between September 15 and October 15

AHBBS, LABA (Latin American Business Association) and SGOV Diversity Committee unite to celebrate Hispanic and Latinx Heritage at NYU Stern. Over the course of the month, we will host various events to showcase culture, media, story-telling, as well as, constructive dialogue on pressing social issues - open to all NYU MBA students and partners.

AHBBS Fall Retreat

Last year the AHBBS Retreat took place in Lake George. On-site activities included grilling, swimming, playgrounds, tennis, horseshoe pits, volleyball, basketball, ping pong, badminton, shuffleboard, arcade, hiking trail and water sports (kayaking, canoeing, rowing and paddle boating).

2018 Annual Conference & Exposition

The annual conference convenes NBMBAA and Prospanica members, corporate and university partners, and some of the world’s most sought after thought leaders for a week of exploration in the areas of education, leadership, career opportunities, and networking connections that enable professional development. This year more than 10,000 professionals from around the world will visit the Philadelphia Convention Center for knowledge enriched sessions and lifestyle activities.


MBA Admissions Discover Stern Diversity Weekend

October 2018

Come volunteer for NYU Stern’s Annual Discover Diversity Weekend, an invitation-only event for prospective students offering the opportunity to meet Stern students, alumni and administrators, and receive valuable tips for preparing a competitive application. Represent, inspire and give back.


During the weekend we will also carve out a few minutes to come together as AHBBS to formally welcome our new AVPs and take a group picture at Gould Plaza, in front of the business school.

AHBBS Case Competition

October 2018

AHBBS and MCA will co-lead this year’s annual Stern Case Competition in partnership with various other Stern affinity clubs. The purpose of the case competition will be to collaborate and propose solutions regarding diversity and inclusion in business, as well as, enable a platform for MBA1 students interested in consulting to sharpen casing skills early in the Stern recruitment cycle and potentially warm-up and prepare teams for numerous other case competitions during the course of the year. The winning team also receives a cash prize.
